My Bird List

Birding Rio San Juan Nicaragua, at  Montecristo River Eco Lodge were  I started observing the amazing world of birding, many year ago, thanks to Mrs. Willow Zuchowski a wonderful lady, author of the book Tropical Plants of Costa Rica. That on her visit to our lodge; she gave us as gift the book The Birds of Costa Rica by Richard Garrigues and Robert Dean.

Birding Rio San Juan, Nicaragua.

I’m Alfonso Agustin Llanes the owner of the Lodge, and by now I have gained the basic skill to identify the birds around our Lodge. I started my birds list in December 2008 with the help of  Sylvia and Bela Babus on their vacation birding vacation.  I will take this opportunity to thanks Mr. Rob Batchelder for correcting quite a few mistakes I had on my page in 2010. I have not identified nor added any new birds to my list since them; I know there are a few birds out there that I  have missed, but the smaller they get, the harder for me to truly identify it.
